Celtic Life Limited is an agent for a number of UK English language schools. The company has acquired valuable experience organising individual educational visits, both for adults and children, over the last four years. Normally schools run English language courses for young learners during summer school holidays but the schools are open to adults all year round.
Usually English language schools offer a variety of different programmes for adult students (16 years old and above). These fall into the following main categories:
Quite often the schools offer combined programme options, for example, a couple of hours of General English in the morning followed by Business English or 1-to-1 lessons in the afternoon.
To ease any concerns you may have, unaccompanied children will be met and transferred from the airport or train station to the school. Some schools, however, especially those that are distant from main airports and railway stations, provide meeting and transfer services for groups of children, ONLY at certain times and on certain days. This has to be considered when choosing flight times. Almost all schools will offer a private individual child transfer. The cost of this service can exceed 200 pounds (GBP).
When choosing a school you should be aware that only institutions accredited by British Council and/or UK Border Agency are eligible to invite and provide educational services to students from outside European Union. Riviera English School was established in 1996. The owners of the school, James and Alex Nicholls, have over 40 years’ experience between them, having taught in many different countries.
The school is located in Torquay’s best business address, with fantastic sea views. It is just a few metres from the main shopping street and harbour-side area, close to restaurants, beaches and the night life of the town.
Torquay, with a population of approximately 60,000, is in the south-west of England in the county of Devon. It has all the facilities you would expect of a major holiday resort and is a beautiful area which has been the location for several films. As the palm trees suggest, it is generally warmer than most parts of the UK
