Hello, I am Denis

I am creating this website to inspire and connect the people with the Celtic regions through my culinary storytelling and personal travel experiences, focusing on seafood, culture, and coastal life.

Culinary book My Dear Fish

I would like to publish a book with my recipes, I enjoy cooking especially seafood and fish
For the last twenty years I have been living in Cornwall and over five years ago I discovered for myself Finistère. I am lucky to have the opportunity to enjoy living in these two wonderful parts of the world. I am not Celtic by birth but I feel very comfortable in both countries. I can say that I feel that belong here. I look around and I can see the Atlantic ocean or Celtic sea, Cornish fields and Monts D’Aree. I eat oysters and fish, pasties and Breton cakes. I enjoy being here, living here and I am truly happy that I am able to be here in the land where I feel happy.
I started my travel company Celtic Life Limited in January 2010. I like to travel and I have visited many places in different countries and I continue exploring the world. I like to cook very much or I should use the verb love instead I always try local food, new and probably unknown to me.
On the pages of my site I would like to share my experience of living and travelling across the Celtic parts of Europe. I did not choose it, it just happened so that I have been to many places in Scotland and Wales, parts of Brittany and Cornwall, of course. I am gradually placing my travel stories in the travels blog.
Here I also present my cooking stories and recipes mainly of seafood and fish dishes. I was born and grew up on the shores of the Pacific. Crabs and scallops, seaweed and prawns, I know there taste from my childhood. I do love meat and poultry as well vegetarian, even vegan, dishes, of course. I love the taste and the look of the food I cook to share and to eat myself. One of the goals of my project is to publish an interesting culinary book, the work-in-progress title of which at the moment is My Dear Fish.
I hope to be able to make my site interesting and useful, I am writing it from my heart driven by the energies of the world where I live and the emotions growing in me by understanding and feeling how lucky I am to live here.
Thank you, life!
